Brenda has a master’s degree in counseling psychology, and has been involved in a deep psychology spiritual practice for several years, which has enabled her to heal much of her own issues, and has deepened her capacity for empathy, compassion, and understanding.
Some of the modalities that Brenda uses are: EMDR, Trauma Resolution and Containment, Somatic Experiencing, Emotionally Focused Therapy, Attachment Re-Patterning, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Inner Child Work, Experiential Practices, and Reiki. She works with couples, families, and individuals to improve relationships with self and others, resolve conflicts, release old wounding and trauma, increase clarity, and to create deeper and more loving bonds with others, in a safe and supportive environment.
Brenda also specializes in working with adoptive families with children who have attachment issues. Her focus is on teaching therapeutic parenting skills, creating corrective attachment, increasing bonding, and healing trauma.
